Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate PricedLowest, fulfill your orders, and meet our legal obligations. This includes:

• Account information — name, email, phone (optional), password (hashed), and profile preferences.
• Order information — items purchased, shipping address, billing address, order history, and customer support correspondence.
• Payment information — handled exclusively by Stripe, our PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or expiration date.
• Device & usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referrer, used for security, fraud prevention, and analytics.
• Cookies — see our Cookies section below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and provide order updates.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized transactions.
• Respond to your customer support requests.
• Send you transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping notices). You cannot opt out of these because they are required to complete your order.
• Send you marketing communications only if you have opted in. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
• Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
• Improve the Service through aggregated, de-identified analytics.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only with the following categories of recipients, and only the minimum needed to perform the specific service:

• Payment processor — Stripe, for secure payment processing and fraud prevention.
• Shipping carriers — your name, address, and tracking information, to deliver your order.
• Customer support and shipping partners — order, contact, and tracking information, used only to deliver your order and provide service.
• Email service providers — to send transactional and (with your consent) marketing emails.
• Analytics providers — aggregated, de-identified usage data (Google Analytics or similar).
• Law enforcement or regulators — when required by valid legal process, or to prevent fraud or harm.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive data, access controls, and regular security reviews. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe under their PCI DSS Level 1 certification. No method of transmission over the internet, however, is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you signed in to your account.
• Remember items in your shopping cart.
• Measure traffic and usage of the Service (analytics).
• Detect and prevent fraud.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent parts of the Service from working (for example, you will not be able to add items to your cart).

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated data (subject to our legal recordkeeping obligations).
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Request a portable copy of your data.
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time.

7. Data Retention

We retain order and tax records for at least 7 years as required by U.S. tax law. We retain account information for as long as your account is active, and we delete inactive accounts after 2 years of no activity, except where retention is required by law.

8. Children's Privacy

PricedLowest is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@pricedlowest.com and we will delete it.

9. International Users

PricedLowest is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or your explicit consent for the transfer.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@pricedlowest.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by posting a notice on the Service or by email (for account holders).
